I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. I always had a passion for unique and cool things and had an eye for looking at places and objects in a different way. I grew up with technology and the internet as it began to make its way into mainstream. I knew early on I wanted to learn more about how computers work and how I can do this as a career. I moved to the Smoky Mountains 20 years ago. I immediately fell in love with the outdoors. From backpacking to camping, the mountains became my playground.
I took a job at the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce in 2001 and eventually was promoted to the Director of Marketing. My digital programs and communications plus the social media that was just then coming on. As you probably know, social media requires lots of content. So photos was an necessity and I quickly became fascinated with taking them.
Today, I still work on the City of Gatlinburg’s Marketing team doing the same things. Promote and showcase Gatlinburg as the premier destination in the south. This is why I started this site, to showcase some of my work over the last 15 years.
